In January 2009 I decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge when I founded Szegedi coaching & training. I work from my own ideas about what coaching entails and all my activities are specifically directed at the skills, values and passions of my clients. I concentrate on ambitious and self-assured people who want to make the most of their talents.

Since I was born both brave and headstrong, it didn’t take long before my first tentative steps towards becoming an entrepreneur were realised.

Those first steps reflect the common theme of my life, for I have always been fascinated by people in their daily practice. That fascination is the reason why I studied Psychology and why, on earning my degree, I started working for Ebbinge and Company in Amsterdam.

Ebbinge and Company is a high-quality staffing agency where people are not treated as numbers. Working for them as a staffing consultant, I was always looking for the right match between individual and work, which was an interesting and educational experience for me. Every day I got to discuss questions such as ‘Who am I? What are my skills? and What suits me best?’ with talented people.

All the different organisations and organisational cultures that I experienced on a daily basis aroused my curiosity. I therefore decided to enroll in an evening coaching course to learn more about the way people grow and develop. This experience provided me with an aha-moment when everything suddenly fell into place: this is what I love and what I’m good at; this is what I want to do.

The positive reactions from my clients and all my own energy and ideas convinced me to found Szegedi coaching & training.
